Game Description
Climax Brighton’s MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 2 is a Grand Prix motorcycle racing video game for the Xbox, Microsoft Windows, and mobile phones.
It was the second installment in THQ’s MotoGP series, and it was based on the 2002 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. Players can race in a single race on one of three circuits: Suzuka, Phakisa, or Jerez, or they can participate in a full season, eventually unlocking more circuits to race on.
Except for a few riders such as Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi, and a few others, players could ride as the majority of the MotoGP riders from 2002. They can be unlocked by accumulating a certain number of points in Stunt Mode. Stunt mode is a one-lap race in which the player performs various stunts such as wheelies, burnouts, and powerslides for points. Points are also awarded for overtaking another rider, driving clean sections, or ramming other riders into the ground, causing them to crash.
Recent points, however, are lost if the player drives off the track or crashes. In addition, if the player does not complete the goal within the time limit, all rewarded points are forfeited. Psynn 2 by Shawn Hargreaves, who created a new version of Psynn, the version used in MotoGP, is the menu theme music.
