I Spy Spooky Mansion is a Point & Click PC game developed by Black Hammer Productions and published by Scholastic in 1999 based on the I Spy children’s books.

The player begins the game at the front door of a ghostly mansion. They get inside and are trapped in. The player is told by the “Guide,” a skeleton named Skelly (voiced by Amy Birnbaum), that they must earn puzzle pieces in order to escape the mansion. They go around the mansion looking for hidden things or words that are written at the bottom of the screen. Skelly appears and gives the player a puzzle piece once all of the things in a given location have been found. When the player has collected 15 puzzle pieces, they can put them together in a picture frame to get directions to Skelly’s secret library study. The player follows Skelly’s directions and pulls three books in the order of blue, green, and red. This causes the head on the bookcase to move, revealing Skelly’s study’s secret door. After that, the player can escape through the window by climbing down a rope with Skelly, which will take them back to the mansion’s main entrance. After that, the player is allowed back into the house to solve more I Spy puzzles. The player must then locate the ingredients for Skelly’s favorite soup, Shrinking Soup. After gathering all of the ingredients, the player can enjoy the meal and flee the mansion through a mousehole near the front door. This hole returns the player to the mansion’s front door, where Skelly invites the player inside for a last game of riddles. The player must collect all of the parts to repair Skelly’s ghost machine in order to escape for the third time. After repairing the machine, the player must manufacture ghosts from various objects throughout the estate. After six ghosts have been created, the seventh and final ghost is revealed. Skelly crawls into the machine and transforms into the “Get-Out Ghost.” The “Get-Out Ghost” propels the player through the chimney and out of the mansion. Skelly congratulates the player on his successful escape, and the game concludes.
