The video game Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas was created by n-Space and released in 2000 for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation by Fox Interactive. It is a follow-up to the action movie series Die Hard Trilogy, on which it was based on. The game, like its predecessor, combines elements from three different genres: third-person shooters, games with light weapons, and action driving games. Die Hard Trilogy 2 contains a single original storyline that switches between the three genres throughout the levels, in contrast to Die Hard Trilogy, which has three distinct storylines based on the first three Die Hard movies.

Instead of choosing a single stand-alone game type to play through, unlike the Die Hard Trilogy, the different sub-games or genres (third-person shooter, light gun shooter, and driving) are combined into “Movie Mode,” with the player jumping from game to game as they go. However, using “Arcade Mode,” a specific sub-game can still be chosen.
In comparison to its predecessor, the third-person shooting sequences have more sophisticated enemy AI, with enemies walking patrol lines, actively searching for the player, and responding to noises made by the player. The game includes stealth components as well. Along with a number of common weaponry, there are also some uncommon weapons like jackhammers, shock rifles, and flamethrowers.
In the appropriate sections of the game, in addition to the conventional PlayStation controller, you can also employ steering wheels, light guns, and the PlayStation Mouse.
