Game Description

Retribution Definition: Cyberpunk-themed first-person shooter Blacklight Flashlight is available for free download. The game for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 was developed and marketed by Hardsuit Labs (formerly Zombie Studios). It was first made available on April 3, 2012 by Perfect World Entertainment. On July 2, 2012, the full Steam release was made available. A PlayStation 4 version was released as a launch title in North America on November 15, 2013, and Europe on December 4, 2013.

The cyberpunk-themed arena shooter game is a follow-up to Blacklight: Tango Down and features several game modes, such as a training mode and others common to the genre. Two of the game’s distinctive features include weapon depots, where players can gather health, ammunition, and special weapons, and the Hyper Reality Visor (HRV), which lets players see risks through walls and other obstacles. The player gains experience and GP by winning battles, and they can spend this GP to buy more armor, weapons, and accessories like skins and tags. Additional game modes were added after the original release, such as the zombie-themed OnSlaught and the payload-like Siege Mode.

Retribution Definition:Blacklight Flashlight underwent a number of upgrades and power transfers during development. After Zombie Studios dissolved in 2015, the surviving members established Hardsuit Labs, which took on development duties. In 2017, Hardsuit Labs acquired the publishing rights to Perfect World and included a number of additional features, such as the relocation of servers to the US and the EU.

Critics praised Blacklight: Retribution, with some even declaring it an upgrade over its predecessor. It received praise for its aesthetics, physics, item balance, and comprehensive customization, but it received criticism for its lack of creativity. Within a month of its release, the game had surpassed one million players.

The PC version was retired on March 11, 2019, due to poor user involvement, while the PS4 version is still available. On the PS4 version, no dedicated servers are available. P2P (Peer-to-Peer) servers allow PS4 players to run public lobbies, allowing other players to join using the “fast join” or “play game” menu options. Additionally, private lobbies can be established, with the host being able to invite individuals from their in-game friend’s list, which is linked to their PlayStation network friends list. Private matches vary from public matches in that users can completely customize their match experience. This includes the ability to use the “custom playlist” function, which allows players to alter the game mode and map selection.

The time limit, goal score multiplier, health multiplier, CP multiplier, beginning CP, and CP maximum can all be customized using the private matchmaking menu. (CP is the game’s currency, which is earned by defeating foes and used to purchase tactical items.) In addition, there is a “mutator” tool that allows users to customize gameplay features. Depots, stock armour and weaponry, elemental ammo, primary and secondary weapons, and much more can all be enabled and disabled.

Retribution Definition:Blacklight Flashlight is set in a cyberpunk world and has a variety of game modes and maps. Other than a controls training level, a zombies game mode called Onslaught, and a “practice” mode putting players against AI or “bot” foes, the game presently has no single-player option. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Domination (a ticket game), King of the Hill (objective capture), and Kill Confirmed (similar to Team Deathmatch, except players must collect tokens from their dead opponents for the kill to count for the team). They can also be obtained for more Combat Points. To deny their enemy the kill point and gain extra Combat Points, friendly players may pick up the token of a deceased comrade. In August 2012, Siege Mode was added, in which one team pushes a Scorpion Tank via checkpoints into enemy territory. Players gather tokens to acquire XP and GP in the OnSlaught mode, which was implemented in March 2013.

Weapon depots are an entirely new feature in Retribution Definition:Blacklight Flashlight. By default, they can be used to purchase health and ammo refills, flamethrowers, rocket launchers, and Hardsuits, which are miniature pilotable mecha with heavy firepower. These can be purchased using Combat Points, which are gained by completing game objectives such as killing opponents and talking points.

Blacklight Retribution, like its predecessor (Blacklight: Tango Down), has the Hyper Reality Visor (HRV), which allows the player to quickly find foes, mines, weapon caches, and Hardsuit weak areas through walls and other impediments. As a result of the HRV mechanic, players can make tactical decisions quickly, resulting in fast-paced battles. However, in HRV, the player can only move around, leap, and sprint, which could make it easier for an HRV user to be killed. HRV has a short battery life and must be recharged. Objects and players are obscured or hidden from HRV by a variety of in-game items.

A total of sixteen maps are available and vary in size and style.

A clan-making option has been introduced to the game. Players can buy clan names with GP/Zcoins and construct their own clans with a four-letter limit. Spending GP/Zcoins will expand the clan’s size.

The OnSlaught Patch includes new weaponry and armor parts, as well as the OnSlaught mode, “S&D” mode (search and destroy), and Last Team/Man Standing modes.

From assault rifles to shotguns, each weapon can have a variety of receivers. The muzzle, barrel, magazine, optic sights, stock, camouflage, and weapon tag, which is a keychain-like symbol that hangs from a lanyard hook, are all customizable. Some receivers have specialized attachments that cannot be used with other receivers. There are also ‘premade’ guns with a predetermined set of attachments. These attachments could not be swapped out for others or utilized on different weapons. Only the camouflage and weapon tags could be swapped out. Weapon tags provide minor stat boosts to the weapon or character, whereas camouflage is purely decorative.

Customize your character’s helmet, leg and body armor, and tactical gear (such as grenades and other tools). There were ‘heroes’ with a fixed, unique helmet, leg and body armor, an inventory system, and a game mode called Siege before the “Parity Patch.” The various components of these heroes could not be swapped out for others or utilized in alternate character configurations. After the Parity Patch, the inventory system was eliminated, which meant that objects could no longer be saved or stacked for later use. Heroes were also changed into alternative cosmetic models for the player’s in-game character after the Parity Patch. Siege, a “escort the payload”-style game mode in which players guided a tank through a series of checkpoints that had to be “hacked” open, was also eliminated.

The House of the Dead III is a horror-themed light gun arcade game released in 2002, and the third installment in the House of the Dead video game series created by Wow Entertainment and Sega. Later, it was ported to the Xbox in 2003, Microsoft Windows in 2005, the Wii in 2008 as part of a compilation with The House of the Dead 2, and the PlayStation 3 in 2012 with PlayStation Move support. In 2008, the game was remade with typing controls as The Typing of the Dead 2. The story of the previous games is continued in this game, and new gameplay concepts such as story branching are introduced. Lisa Rogan, the game’s protagonist, is the daughter of Thomas Rogan and Sophie Richards.

In many ways, The House of the Dead III differs from the first two games, including weaponry; player characters are armed with shotguns rather than the semiautomatic pistols used in the first two games. The shotgun in III for Xbox no longer requires the traditional “point off-screen” reload, but instead reloads automatically. Reloading still takes time, but it happens automatically as soon as the gun requires it. The arcade version differs in this regard because light guns are present, allowing for similarly quick reloading. Pumping the shotgun controller results in a reload. The light gun controller released by Madcatz may be used while playing the game on Xbox; however, the traditional “shoot off-screen” reload was reintroduced in the Wii version.

The previous games had a branching storyline, but it was handled differently. Prior to the start of most stages in The House of the Dead III, the player is given options for navigating through the game, ultimately going through the same areas with different results depending on the order chosen.

Another significant distinction is the absence of civilians. Unlike the first two House of the Dead games, in which players could save a variety of people in danger, The House of the Dead III contains no additional characters beyond those essential to the plot. Instead, “Rescue Events” occur throughout each stage, requiring players to save their partners from attacking zombies. Each successful rescue earns you an extra life. If all rescue missions are completed successfully, players will discover crates in the room before the final boss that, when shot, will drop a large number of bonuses and lives.

Another significant difference is the absence of civilians. Unlike the first two The House of the Dead games, in which players could save a variety of people in danger, The House of the Dead III contains no additional characters beyond those essential to the plot. The series introduces a new concept in the form of a “Cancel” bar. Previously, the bosses’ weak point only needed to be shot once to stun the attack. In this game, the weak point of the bosses must be shot repeatedly in order to drain the “Cancel” bar and stop the enemy’s attack.

Another significant change to the gameplay is the introduction of a new rank and grade system. Players are now graded on how quickly they dispatch zombies, with options ranging from Excellent, Good, Faster, and Twin Shot, with the latter occurring if two zombies are killed with the same shotgun shell. At the end of each stage, a letter grade ranging from S to A, B, C, D, and E is assigned. Completing the stage with an A rank earns the player one extra life, while completing it with a S rank earns the player two. At the end of the game, a final grade is assigned, and depending on how many S ranks the player received for each stage, the player may be assigned a “SS” rank as the final grade.

Extra lives and bonus points are handled differently as well. Nothing happened in previous arcade instalments if a player had all five lives and gained another. The player can now have up to nine lives at once, and any extra lives are converted into bonus points. Bonus points could also be earned in previous games by shooting hidden objects such as a golden frog or a coin. This is expanded upon in The House of the Dead III, which introduces a silver coin that can be shot repeatedly, a wind-up robot that must be shot several times, and a golden miniature version of the recurring boss The Magician. Decaying zombies and weak points on stunned bosses can also be shot multiple times for bonus points.

On the Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, and Wii versions, there is a “Time Attack” mode in which the player’s lives are displayed as a timer beginning at 45 seconds. Extra time is granted by Excellent, Good, Faster, and Twin Shots, as well as clocks in the background, successful rescue events, and end-of-stage bonuses. Being hit by a zombie deducts 7 seconds, projectiles deduct 5, and bosses deduct 15. The player gains 10 seconds after stunning a boss. Every successful hit on the final boss grants two seconds and eliminates the need for a stun. If the timer reaches zero, the game is over, and Dr. Curien analyses the player’s performance at the end of each game. Toy Story 2 Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue is a platform game based on Pixar’s computer-animated film Toy Story 2 from 1999. It is the follow-up to the original Toy Story video game. It was released in late 1999 for the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh, with a Dreamcast version following in 2000. The computer versions were titled Disney/Action Pixar’s Game, and Toy Story 2. In 1999, a different version, Toy Story 2, a side-scrolling platform game, was released for the Game Boy Color.

Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! was re-released in 2011 as a downloadable PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable game, followed by a downloadable PlayStation Vita re-release in 2012. A sequel based on Toy Story 3 was released 11 years later.

Home console and computer version

The home console and computer versions put the player in control of Buzz Lightyear as he travels across fifteen levels (ten main levels and five boss levels) based on and inspired by locations from the film to save Woody. Buzz can attack enemies with a wrist laser that can be charged for more power and can also be aimed from a first-person perspective. Buzz also has a spin attack that can be charged up to become a continuous spin. Buzz can also perform a double jump by extending his wings and stomping his feet to activate switches. The player can obtain a laser power-up, which provides Buzz with a limited supply of charged-up laser shots, as well as extra lives and health-replenishing batteries.

The main goal of Toy Story 2 Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue is to collect Pizza Planet tokens scattered throughout the stages. Each level contains five Pizza Planet tokens, which can be obtained by completing various objectives such as fighting a mini-boss, solving a puzzle, completing a timed challenge or winning a race against another character, or assisting a character in finding five of a specific object hidden throughout the level. Each level also contains a number of coins, 50 of which can be collected and given to Hamm in exchange for a token. Certain objectives necessitate the use of a special power-up, which must first be unlocked at a particular level by retrieving one of Mr. Potato Head’s missing body parts. A barrier that protects Buzz from damage, rocket boots that launch him at high speeds, a disc launcher that zeroes in on enemies, a grappling hook for climbing up high ledges, and hover boots for floating up to high places are all available as power-ups. While only one Pizza Planet token is required to complete a level, certain levels require a certain number of tokens to unlock. With the exception of the Nintendo 64 version, completing each level unlocks FMV clips from the film. Instead, in between levels, the Nintendo 64 version shows screenshots from the film accompanied by text. This is due to the Nintendo 64 cartridge’s storage limitations.

Game Boy Color version

The Game Boy Color version is a side-scrolling platform game that has nothing to do with the other versions. Buzz, who can jump, run, and shoot his laser at enemies, is controlled by the player. It has 11 levels, including two bonus levels that can be accessed by collecting all of the coins in certain levels. Because the Game Boy Color only has two action buttons, Buzz runs and jumps by pressing the B button. The player can jump and move across gaps while standing motionless, whereas running is initiated by pressing the B button while moving. A password feature is used to save game progress.
