    Frogger He’s Back

    Game Description

Frogger, also known as Frogger He’s Back!, is a remake of Konami’s 1981 arcade game of the same name. It was created by Sony Computer Entertainment’s SCE Cambridge Studio and released in November 1997 by Hasbro Interactive. The game is an expansion of the original arcade game, featuring levels with large maps, an updated set of 3D graphics, and new gameplay moves. The critical reaction was mixed, with frequent criticism directed at the gameplay, controls, and difficulty, while the graphics were praised. It was a commercial success, with the PlayStation version becoming one of the console’s best-selling titles. The box art for this game can also be found on the Sega Genesis, SNES, Game.com, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color versions of the original Frogger game.

In 2000, Frogger was followed by Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge, which builds on the gameplay elements found in the game.

  • Chocolatier

    Chocolatier

    Game Description

Chocolatier is a casual strategy video game with action elements that was developed by Big Splash Games and published by PlayFirst. Chocolatier was released as a download on May 1, 2007, and as a CD-ROM on September 27, 2007. Players take on the role of a young chocolatier who must travel to 14 cities around the world to buy ingredients, make chocolate confections, and sell them to chocolatier game shops. There are two modes of play: story mode, in which the player must rebuild an almost-bankrupt chocolate empire and acquire 64 chocolate recipes from around the world, and free mode, in which players begin with few resources and must become successful chocolatiers.

Big Splash Games, a trio of video game designers who remained employees while developing a prototype game in their spare time, created a chocolatier game as their first game. This prototype was rejected by publishers, but after coming up with the concept for Chocolatier, the team was signed up by PlayFirst and the title was completed. Chocolatier received mostly positive feedback, with reviewers praising the action minigame that plays when making chocolates, as well as Chocolatier’s graphics, sound, and Victorian-era presentation.

    Worms 3D

    Game Description

Worms 3D is a Worms series 3D artillery turn-based tactical game. It was created by Team17. Worms 3D was the first in the series to be played in 3D, and it also included a number of new weapons. Furthermore, some of the weapon operations differ significantly from previous Worms titles.

Worms 3D was announced by Team17 in 2002 as Worms 3, with a different logo, and was set to be published by Activision at the time. Worms 3D was renamed in 2003, and Activision was dropped as the publisher. Sega acquired the rights to publish Worms 3D in Europe.

    Gameplay

With the exception of the three-dimensional view, which gives the player more freedom and possibilities to complete the task at hand, the gameplay is mostly unchanged from its predecessors. Campaign and Quick Match modes return from previous versions. Worms 3D also has a multiplayer mode and the ability to edit and create teams. The goal of most matches is to eliminate the worms of the opposing forces, whereas the Campaign mode assigns the player specific goals to complete. The Campaign consists of 35 small missions in which the player must use their worms to complete a specific task, such as destroying enemy worms or collecting a specific crate, or even unique missions, such as detonating 16 hidden landmines in a certain amount of time. All of the missions award points based on how well the player performs. Gold medals typically unlock bonuses such as maps, challenge missions, weapon information, or voicebanks.

The worms continue to fight using a variety of conventional or droll weapons, such as rockets, explosives, firearms, and airstrikes, while also traversing the island using utilities when those items are available, as in 3D Worms predecessors. The entire inventory is based on Worms 3D rom immediate predecessors, but it is noticeably simplified and lacks previously existing items, such as digging tools like the blowtorch.

The player must use a weapon/utility to collect targets that add to their timebank, which grows steadily in the Challenge missions. Obtaining a gold medal in this area unlocks maps or locked weapons.

Tony Hawk American Wasteland is the first game in the Tony Hawk’s franchise to advertise and allow players to play in a single large level via storey mode, which actually seamlessly connects a number of levels without loading times in between, as well as the first game in the series to allow players to freely commandeer stray bicycles and perform freestyle BMX techniques similar to skateboarding. The Bert Slide is a new manoeuvre added to skateboarding controls. In the September 2005 issue of Game Informer, a map of American Wasteland’s Los Angeles was shown, along with an overhead view of the Boston stage from Underground 2. With the exception of the “Vans Skatepark” and “Casino” areas, the Boston level appeared to be roughly three-quarters the size of one American Wasteland area.

    [title] Story

After the player creates a crew of characters, The Sims 2: Castaway begins on a boat. The crew can be made up of one to six Sims. Following the creation of the crew, a slide show of mobile phone pictures of the trip and the storm that wrecks the ship begins. The player’s first Sim awakens on Shipwreck Island’s First Beach. The Sim discovers books that detail the goals the Sim must achieve in order to survive on the islands and escape. Soon after exploring Shipwreck Island, the Sim discovers a second island, Airplane Island, which is much larger and more interesting than the first and constructs a raft to reach the new location. The Sim is reunited with some of their lost crew after arriving on the island. If the relationship is strong enough, the player can form a tribe of Sims. While exploring Airplane Island, the player discovers radio parts that are needed to complete a later-game goal. Volcano Island can be reached after the player finds the second beach on Airplane Island and constructs a canoe. The player will discover the remains of the llama people on Volcano Island. They have the option of building a boat or traveling to the volcano’s summit and using the radio parts to send an SOS signal to a nearby ship. The player can also repair a broken ceremonial forge on Volcano Island, causing a fourth island, Crystal Island, to rise from the sea, but this is optional and is not required for the player to escape the island. There are numerous discoverable secrets in The Sims 2: Castaway, including secret areas such as the Hidden Lagoon and the Secret Pirate’s Cove. These areas can only be accessed after the player has collected objects such as hieroglyphics and treasure map pieces, which is a lengthy process.

  • True Crime New York City

    True Crime New York City

    Game Description

True Crime New York City is an open world action-adventure video game released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube by Luxoflux. Aspyr ported it to Microsoft Windows, and Hands-On Mobile ported it to mobile. Activision released it on all platforms. The PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube versions debuted in November 2005, followed by the PC version in March 2006 and the mobile version in March 2007. After True Crime: Streets of LA in 2003, this is the second and final installment in the True Crime franchise.

Marcus Reed, a former New York City gang member turned police officer, is the protagonist of True Crime New York CityTrue Crime New York City. Reed witnesses the death of his mentor on his first night on the job after being promoted to detective in the Organized Crime Unit. Reed sets out to find out who killed his friend and bring down the mole, with the help of an FBI agent investigating a mole in the OCU. True Crime: New York City includes a 25-square-mile (65-square-kilometer) recreation of Manhattan, with GPS accuracy for most street names, major landmarks, and highways.

New York City received mixed reviews from critics and overwhelmingly negative reviews from gamers, with critics and gamer reviewers citing numerous technical and graphical glitches, leading many to speculate that the game’s final stages of development were rushed in order for it to be released in time for Christmas. True Crime: New York City was also a commercial failure, selling only 72,000 units across all platforms in North America in its first two weeks of release, far less than Streets of LA. Its underwhelming critical reception and poor sales figures contributed to the True Crime franchise’s demise. Originally planned as the first of a two-part series set in New York and starring Marcus Reed, Activision scrapped the direct sequel and put future True Crime games on hold due to the game’s poor performance. They hired United Front Games in 2007 to create an open-world game set in Hong Kong. By 2009, True Crime New York City had evolved into True Crime: Hong Kong. However, True Crime New York City was canceled in 2011. Square Enix acquired the publishing rights several months later, and True Crime: Hong Kong was eventually renamed Sleeping Dogs, with no ties to the True Crime series. Activision dropped the True Crime trademark entirely in 2014.

Snap-On Gearhead Garage: The Virtual Mechanic is a PC game in which players repair and customize late-model automobiles and trucks. Mikado created it, Snap-on Tools endorsed it, and Head Games published it in 1999. (subsequently acquired by Activision). There is no driving feature, but Gearhead Garage introduced a completely new “bolt-em-up” paradigm. The appeal is similar to taking things apart in real life—players can completely disassemble the engine, repair individual parts, reassemble them, and then display the finished product in their 3D “car lot.” The game also includes a series of “jobs” in which the player must repair vehicles owned by fictional characters. This enables them to earn money in order to purchase custom items from a catalog, auction, or junkyard.

    Gameplay

    PlayStation 2 and GameCube

This version of Bratz Rock Angelz is a free-roaming adventure. The player takes control of one of four Bratz girls (Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha, and Jade) who are attempting to start their own teen magazine.

The player can travel to four different locations: Stylesville (home of the Bratz), London, Paris, and the mansion. When the player moves the correct Bratz girl to a speech bubble, the game’s objectives are activated. During Bratz Rock Angelz, blings, which are coins for the Bratz girls, appear. Each girl carries a cell phone, which she uses to send messages between characters, check the number of blings she owns, and find out where the next objective is. The phone’s cover and ringtone can both be customized. The player can also collect character token coins, which can be used to purchase movie clips. Each Bratz girl has a total of 25 available. Players can also take pictures and play minigames for extra money in Bratz Rock Angelz. The player can apply make-up to the girls as he or she sees fit. The Bratz can be led to stores to purchase the latest trends to complement their bling collection.

Minigames are activated by going to certain locations or talking to non-player characters. They include:

    Game Boy Advance

The Game Boy Advance version follows the same plot as the console version but has its own set of tasks. Completing tasks in Stylesville, where you live, allows you to make progress. The girls travel to London halfway through the story to prepare for a London show.

    Microsoft Windows

The game’s Microsoft Windows version differs from the console version. It is based on the plot of the film.

Bratz Rock Angelz has a total of nine objectives. The odd-numbered objectives (chapters 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) are mini-games in which the player must complete tasks in order to earn points. Each mini-game consists of four rounds. When a player takes or misses apart, he or she receives fewer points. After three misses, the player must repeat the round, losing a number of points. Except for the final objective, the player can use points to unlock fashions for the Bratz girls.

The even-numbered objectives (chapters 2, 4, 6, 8) are adventure games with puzzle elements. The player must interact with a specific Bratz character and collect items in order to solve a puzzle (for example give a camera to a colleague). The player can photograph the objectives in order to print them from the “Secrets” menu. To complete a part of an adventure objective, the player must create an article, logo, flyer, or poster. The player can even create and print their own design. This section is accessible via the “Secrets” menu.

When the player completes Bratz Rock Angelz, they will be able to play Top Trumps, a card game similar to war. Each turn, the player is dealt a card with a number total on it. The player must guess which number on the card is greater than the number on the opponent’s card. If they are correct, they will win the card. They continue to play until one of the players has all 28 cards in his or her possession.

After Jade is turned down by Your Thing magazine, the girls decide to launch their own publication to compete with Your Thing.
