Toy Commander
Game Description
Sega released the Dreamcast action game Toy Commander, which was created by No Cliché.
An almost finished Microsoft Windows version was supposed to be released in 2001, but No Cliché’s closure the following year forced its cancellation.
[title] Gameplay
The player manipulates toys to complete objectives in the Sky Commanders’ toys (typically in the shape of vehicles). We complete these assignments in homerooms. The unique tasks that the Commander Cody hot toys are famous for are based on different rooms in a house. The first mission, for example, is an introductory training level that takes place in a kitchen and involves moving between several types of vehicles, like a plane, pick-up truck, and helicopter. In the second step, you use a toy vehicle to roll eggs over to a kettle of boiling water.
The five main types of playable vehicles in the Hot Toys Commander Cody are race cars, which were primarily used in racing missions (although some missions required the player to navigate mazes in race cars), armed ground vehicles like tanks or trucks with rocket launchers, airplanes, helicopters, and transport vehicles (which are always unarmed but would typically be used to transport various smaller toys). Not every vehicle can be used outside of one-player, which excludes the freight and unarmed vehicles.
A battle mode, with other modes, is also available in the commande fidget toys for multiple players, allowing up to four players, with no online play.
