Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is a 2003 sports action video game based on the Harry Potter franchise’s fictional sport of Quidditch. Electronic Arts published the game, which was developed by two teams, EA UK and Magic Pockets. It was made available for the Game Boy Advance, Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and the GameCube. The game has nothing to do with the canceled Nintendo 64 project.

At this stage, the player competes for one of the Hogwarts house teams, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin, for the Hogwarts Inter-House Quidditch Cup. Each House team is represented by a Seeker, who is a different figure from the books (Harry Potter for Gryffindor, Draco Malfoy for Slytherin, Cedric Diggory for Hufflepuff, and Cho Chang for Ravenclaw). When a player selects a team, the Seeker of the selected House takes off on a broomstick. If this is the player’s first time playing a team, the character will make a brief message congratulating the player on their choice before the house challenges appear. These challenges focus on key aspects of a full Quidditch game and are designed to teach new players the game or polish skills for returning players.
