Game Description

CChess Titans is a 3D chess game created by Oberon Games that is included in Windows Vista and Windows 7 Home Premium, Business/Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions. It’s a fully animated, photorealistic interactive game with ten levels of difficulty. It can be played by two people or by one person against the computer.

History

The game was first made public in Windows Vista build 5219.
Another chess program, simply called Chess, was included with Microsoft Entertainment Pack 4. David Norris, a former Microsoft employee and author of the chess engine “Ziggurat,” created it.

Gameplay

The game can be played with a mouse and keyboard or any Windows gamepad controller. It can also be viewed using Windows Media Center and the remote control that comes with TV Tuner Cards, as well as on certain laptops.

Chess Titans displays the opponent’s most recent move during each player’s turn. The player can also click on a chess piece to highlight all valid moves for that piece. These features can be disabled in the Options dialogue box.
