Game Description
Madagascar is a platform video game based on the DreamWorks animated film of the same name, directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath. The game was released in North America on May 24, 2005, and in Europe on June 30, 2005. Toys for Bob created the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox versions. Beenox created the Microsoft Windows version, while Vicarious Visions created the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance versions. The next Madagascar video game to be released on the Game Boy Advance was Madagascar: Operation Penguin. On November 4, 2008, a sequel, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, was released.

Gameplay
Marty the zebra is the main character, but in other levels, the player can control Gloria the hippo, Melman the giraffe, and Alex the lion. Each character in the game has a unique ability. To obtain the character’s abilities, the player must first locate three cards known as power cards.
