50 Cent: Bulletproof is an action video game released on November 17, 2005, for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox by Genuine Games and distributed by Vivendi Universal Games. The game was updated and released in 2006 as 50 Cent: Bulletproof vest G Unit Edition on the PlayStation Portable, featuring a top-down perspective. An Xbox 360 version was planned but never released. In 2009, a sequel, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, was published.
The plot centers around the protagonist, hip hop musician 50 Cent, and his quest for vengeance against the hitmen who attempted to murder him. As a gang, members of the G-Unit rap crew appear in the game. Dr. Dre portrays an arms dealer, Eminem portrays a corrupt cop, and DJ Whoo Kid portrays himself as a person selling “bootlegged” music (from the G-Unit camp) out of his trunk. DJ Red Heat’s Shadyville Entertainment published a soundtrack CD titled Bulletproof. It received “Best Original Song” at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in 2005.
